The 2023 Wrap Up

We’re excited to kick off the year with a quick look back at all we accomplished in 2023. Our annual Wrap-Up is out now. 

Some highlights: 

• Our private spaces, at the heart of our work, grew to 3,724 members across three platforms.

• Community Study led three studies, including one in collaboration with We Reads

• We Reads dropped three collections with 209 works, and expanded its scope to include other media including books, podcasts, tv shows, and music. 

• up//root published 13 original works with19 contributors, and became an independent publication after starting as a We Here project in 2020.

• We paid out $79,580 to those who worked with us this year, including private space admins, project and program leaders, accounting services; legal services, and two new positions - Communication and Outreach Manager and Community School Manager.
